Estimation of Overburden Stripping Costs in Laterite Nickel Ore Mining at Pit 4 PT. Adhikara Cipta Mulia Marombo Beach Village Lasolo Islands District North Konawe Regency Southeast Sulawesi Province

Abstract

Limited Liability Company (PT) Adhikara Cipta Mulia is a company operating in the nickel mining sector located in Lasolo Islands District, North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Stripping overburden layers is one of the activities that greatly influences mining activities. The Adhikara Cipta Mulia Limited Company is currently planning to carry out mining in a new pit, namely Pit 4, with an overburden stripping production target of 80.000 tons/month. To maximize these activities, it is necessary to plan the cost of stripping the overburden to determine the costs during the mining process in order to expedite the operation of mining activities and minimize the costs incurred to achieve the desired production targets. This research aims to determine the number of digging and hauling equipment and to determine the total cost of overburden stripping. Based on the research results, the number of digging tools and transport equipment used in overburden stripping activities from the first month to the 9th month using a Hyundai HX210S Excavator was 1 unit and using a Fuso 220 Dump Truck to transport overburden was 2 units and the total costs will be spent for overburden stripping activities amounting to 4.246.791.559,86 (Four billion two hundred forty six million seven hundred ninety one thousand five hundred fifty nine eighty six rupiah).
